Discrimination: Making People Better
The fear of the unknown causes people to inflict pain and hatred rather than try to understand. They discriminate or prejudge others on the basis of their ethnicity, race, sex or handicap. This treatment often results in victims being ostracized from society. It is assumed that such hardship can make people bitter and full of resentment. However, Georgina Kleege disproves this in her essay “Call It Blindness.” She shows that her personal struggle against discrimination has made her better, because it pushes her to open people’s narrow-minded views, break down societal stereotypes, and inspire those with similar challenges.
As a handicap, there are

Their mission is clear, they want to be the company all other companies model their companies after. They are starting a movement in which all other companies should try and emulate to be, which is a great idea because there is no cost for the books that they acquire, and at the same time turn

Uniforms are better
An ongoing controversy in American Education is school uniforms. Proponents argue that school uniforms encourage discipline, help students resist peer pressure to buy trendy clothes, help identify intruders in school, diminish economic and social barriers between students, and increase a sense of belonging and school pride. On the other hand, the opponents contend believe school uniforms violate the right to freedom of expression, make students a target for bullies from other schools, are a financial burden for poor families, and are difficult to enforce in public schools. Mark Twain once remarked, “Clothes make the man.” Can school clothes really make you change

It happens because people, Americans especially, have been conditioned since they were young to always get the best and newest things available; the better their possessions, the better their person.

In a perfect world, discrimination and racism would not exist, but unfortunately the world we live in is far from perfect. Society, whether they mean to or not, still heavily places stereotypes on different religions, races, and ethnic groups. The media in particular does so through television shows and movies. Feminist writer Dorothy Roberts argues that African American women are portrayed in such a poor manor. One example of a show I can think of that supports her argument is Orange is the New Black. There are many parts of the show which one may argue is a negative depiction of African American women. I do not personally agree with Roberts’ argument for media and

An Ideal Human Rights Treaty
Human right treaties if ratified, should be effective in protecting human rights and by doing that they should improve human lives. But in reality they are not effective. One of the biggest problems with human rights treaties is that they have no enforcing and neither executive power. Even upon ratification, it is up to the ratifying states if they implement the treaty in their national legislation and be bound by the responsibility to uphold them. The best examples are treaties that relate to women and children’s rights. Although almost all countries have ratified the Convention on the Elimination of

Prevention implies 'to stop doing something'. Cure means 'to find a solution'. Man is prone to commit mistakes. Prevention is the shield which saves mankind from many disasters, chaos and destruction. Man can foresee the happenings of the future. He checks himself from doing anything wrong.
We must measure very step we take. Cure involves much more effort and pain than what would needed to prevent a problem from affecting us. A cure is a blessing, but prevention is more than a blessing. On the other hand, a bugle appearance having a powerful brain can produce something for human welfare. So, brains have got prominence over beauty. Beauty and brains are two vital factors foe humans. Women are better drivers than men.
For many years there have been multiple arguments and disagreements on whether men are better drivers than women. However driving is not all about driving a car. How often do you hear that a man is the driving force of his home or his family? You don’t, because it is a woman’s roll to be the driver of her home and family. A woman is what makes a home a home and without a woman a man would be lost. Women are better drivers of their home, family, career and their own destiny.
Without a woman a man would be lost and he would create a dysfunctional household. Therefore this goes to show that women are the drivers of both their homes and families

In the impecunious economy we are living in this current day, we as Americans are looking to cut cost anywhere possible which includes our food budget. Does eating healthy really need to be more expensive? As Pollan aptly stated, “There’s no escaping the fact that better food — measured by taste or nutritional quality (which often correspond) — costs more, because it has been grown or raised less intensively and with more care(Pollan).” While I do agree with Pollan’s statement part of me is left ruminating, are there actions that can be taken to ease the financial sting attributed to eating healthy? Many recent studies are projecting the percent of Americans that suffer from some level
