Dahil dito unti-unting nababago ng Facebook ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng tao sa kapwa maging sa online man at tunay na buhay.
Pangalwa ay ang ‘materialism’. Ito ang bunga ng dehumanization. Ito ay ang pagbibigay halaga sa ‘having’ kaysa sa ‘being’ ng tao, na tumutukoy sa matertal na bagay na pag-aari ng isang tao. Nakikilala ang isang Facebook user hindi sa kanyang pagkatao bagkus sa mga bagay na mayroon sya. Ang kasunod nito ay ang commercialism. Kung ang halaga ng tao ay nasusukat sa kung anong material na bagay ang mayroon siya, ito ay nagtutulak sa kanya na bumili ng iba’t ibang bagay. Ang simpleng buhay ng tao ay nagiging komplikado at magastos.
Pangatlo ay ang ‘social maladjustment’. Ito ang posibleng mangyari sa isang user na may 4,999 kaibigan sa Facebook ngunit walang kaibigan sa tunay na buhay. Nawawalan ng ‘social skills’ na importante sa pakikipag ugnayan sa ating kapwa.
Pang-apat ay ang ‘untimely relationship’. Ito ang madalas makikita sa mga kabataang maagang pumapasok sa pakikipagrelasyon. Dahil sa text, post ng messages at pictures sa Facebook, ang ‘puppy love’ ay nagiging ‘bulldog love’ na mapusok, mapangahas, at kung minsan ay malaswa.
At ang huli ay ‘health problems’. Ayon kay Dr. Aric Sigman, sa pagbaba ng oras na ibinibigay sa personal na interaksyon sa kapwa ay nababawasan diin ang sigla ng metabolism at whiteblood cell sa katawan ng tao. Ito ay nangangahulugan ng paghina ng immune system ng katawan laban sa sakit. Hindi rin maitatanggi na sa sobrang paggamit ng Facebook ay nawawala ang apat hanggang limang oras natin kada araw at nawawalan din ng ehersyiso ang katawan na nag dudulot ng iba’t ibang karamdaman.

• Cyber Crimes at mga Kapalmuks sa Facebook
Ang Facebook ay nagiging sanhi rin sa paglaganap ng krimen at civil offences. Ang mga ‘kapalmuks’ o makapal ang mukha sa Facebook ay mga taong ginagamit ito upang lokohin at pagsamantalahan ang kapwa. Ito ang huling pangkat ng mga negatibong bunga ng Facebook.
Sa mga makakaibigan sa Facebook, hindi maiiwasan ang inggitan, parinigan, tsismisan at siraan ng pagkatao. Ito ay nagdudulot ng ‘identity theft’ o pagnanakaw ng pagkatao ng isang user upang makapanloko ng kapwa. Mayroon ding ‘poison letter’ na hangaring hiyain ang isang tao at nagagamit sa black propaganda laban sa taong may katungkulan.
Ang ‘Cybercrime Prevention Act’ ay para masugpo ang krimen ng swindling, estafa, extorsion, cyber-bullying, libel, sex scandal, cybersex, human trafficking at iba pang krimen sa cyberspace. At ang ‘Data Privacy Act’ naman at nakatuon laban sa hacking ng mga personal ng impormasyon ng isang user, pangunahin rito ang identity theft. Ang hacking ay ang pagnanakaw ng mga personal na impormasyon na maaring gamitin sa panloloko sa kapwa na ginagamit sa cybersex, extortion, swindling at libel. Ang mga ito ay ginawa noong June 10,2012 ng Kongreso ng Pilipinas upang sugpuin ang cybercrimes at bigyang proteksyon sa mga internet users.
