Part I. What is Worldview?
Worldview as defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary is “the way someone thinks about the world.” I define it very logically. It is broken up into rich and poor. Beautiful and ugly. Moral or Amoral. Ambition or contentment. Very simplistic.
The question of origin. Where did I come from? There is no doubt in my military mind who is the creator of all things. He is the creator of the Heavens and Earth. (Genesis 1:1). That was the first biblical right and wrong teachings I remember. (Exodus 20:13). Now as a Christian I don’t think it is my right to judge because we will all be judged at the appointed time and place. (Psalms 98:9)
The question of destiny. What is my destiny? Is there Heaven and will I go? I would like to believe that I lived my life in such a way that I will make it to Heaven. (Matthew 16:19). “A person must center his or her life on the gospel.”(Hindson p. 19) Every Christian should believe that Jesus Christ was put on this Earth to teach us then pay the ultimate sacrifice for us. He also showed the through his father we can attain the glory. (John 3:16)
How might/should a biblical worldview influence the way you think about, treat, and speak to others on a daily basis? I treat everyone with the same respect and dignity as I would want to be treated. “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” (Romans 10:12 KJV) I respect all things within...
