My name is Dykieria Gillette and I would like to take you on a journey in my alluring life. I would like to tell you why I believe this great scholarship would help assist my future.
I am a student at Sneads High School, but I am much more than that!

I have attended charities and fundraisers such as, the March of Dimes and Relay for life. Aside from volunteering, I also play a big part in my church. Iâ€™m the youth president and choir director. As youth president and choir director, I schedule events, invite speakers, direct, and lead songs for certain occasions. I have come cross many obstacles, but have gained priceless information from this position. I have achieved many goals. I have been captain of the Varsity Basketball Team, a member of the Sr. Beta Club, and been an active, competitive member in FCCLA. Although I believe these are great accomplishments, the accomplishment I am most proud of is maintaining a weighted 4.0 grade point average and maintaining a good relationship with God.
I have been accepted into the University of West Florida in Pensacola, Florida and plan to attend the fall semester. I am interested in medicine and have the colossal dream of one day becoming a pediatrician. I am very much aware of the amount of work I will have to put into this dream and I am ecstatic and motivated about it. In addition, I also plan to minor in theatre because I take pleasure in acting and dancing. So as you can see, I have many plans for the future and I believe that I can achieve them.
I believe that this scholarship will assist with my educational and career plans. Iâ€™m extremely enthusiastic about the near future. I know that God will help seek me through everything. I may not be the best person, but I believe Iâ€™m best for this award. Everyone deserves a chance to further their educational goals. I would like for you to take a chance on my dreams by awarding me with this scholarship.
