“Why college education is important to me”

The purpose of this essay is to show the importance of a college education and to provide many reasons why a college education would be important to me. I will incorporate a few quoted references along with some statistical data and my personal opinion.

9%. Other numbers to keep in mind, the number of college educated workers has risen by 9.1% since the beginning of the recession. Those with a high school diploma and no further education were decreased by 9%. For workers even without a high school diploma, employment levels have fallen 14.1%. Just those numbers alone prove how important it is to get a college education above the high school level. It was articles like this that made me think long and hard about my future. I kept looking for other reasons why should I go back to school. I will quote another article in the next paragraph.

She said studies show that , compared to high school graduates, college graduates have longer life spans, better access to health care, better dietary and health practices, greater economic stability and security, more prestigious employment and greater job satisfaction, and more self confidence.
