“ What Impacted My Life To Make Me Who I Am”

My desire to study in the field of law emerged when I first realized I wish to study Law while reading a newspaper, when it suddenly occurred to me that every article was somehow related to the law. I remember thinking how amazing it was that such a diverse range of issues could be linked back to a single word. This truly unique quality of influencing all aspects of life (although I am sure there are plenty of economists who would question its uniqueness). Personally, to me I have the maturity and work ethic to succeed at college, discipline has always come easily to me, often wanting to be on a tangent. As I grew older and more mature I avoided extra activities less and less realizing that my high school provided the best method to further oneself socially, mentally, and indeed physically. Also being on the track team inspired me a lot because it made me socialize more and meet people and get to know more about them. This has taught me the importance of teamwork and leadership to reach a personal and collective best and being perfect in school has shown me how there is a need for discipline and the importance of ones responsibilities. Gaining an insight into other people’s lives with regards to national identity and cultural divides me much more understanding and appreciate of the need to belong in society.

Currently, I think of myself as a writer and a journalist. I feel that by studied for A-Levels in English, Biology, and Geography, the Law is always changing and I am intrigued by the way in which both subjects adapt to an ever shifting society. The study of Literature has equipped me with the ability to accurately analyze extended pieces of information, and through the study of Biology, I have experienced learning strict factual information, which itself follows a scientific law.

I hope to be able to further my interest in law while studying at your college. I feel very determined and that I have a lot to offer the college, such as joining the many societies that you have, and I will undoubtedly be participating in the many student events that you have. And I know I have alot to gain from studying Law with you at your college.
