Technology in the form of computers, communication devices and laborsaving mechanical
equipment has had and will have a major effect on the way in which hotels are managed and
operated. The speed with information is accumulated, stored, manipulated and transferred is
such that today most travelers expect that the hotel rooms they rent will allow them to be as

enable managers perform analysis of the available data and make strategic decisions and
create promotional offers based on customer preferences. The proposed hotel management
will enables faster information processing regarding various business processes helping the
staff to better serve their customer needs in lesser time aimed at enriched the overall customer

General Objective:
This study aimed to determine the improvement of Hotel Management Using System in
Villa Peña Resort at Goa, Camarines Sur.
Objectives of the Proposed System:
1.Determine the type of the system in terms of:
a. Enable computerized booking.

b. Enable automated data entry methods.

c. Ensure efficient and reliable communication within the hotel.

d. Avoid data entry errors by use of input masks.

e. Enable easy authorized modification of data.

f. Enable fast and easy retrieval of guest records and data for fast reference activities

2. Find out the enforce security measures to avoid unauthorized access to guest records.

3. Identify the problems encountered in hotel management using the system.

4. Propose alternative measures or recommendations to avoid such problems.

Scope and Delimitation
The purpose of this study is to determine the improvement of Hotel Management
Using System in Villa Peña Resort at Goa, Camarines Sur. It aims to determine the type
of system used and its accessibility to the hotel management as well as to the clients.
This research also include problems encountered using the system and suitable
measures the respondents may use to prevent the occurrence of such problems.

Significance of the Study
The following groups of people are expected to gain benefits from this study:
The Respondents: The result of the study will give them insights on problems they
encountered in hotel management system and guide them in avoiding such problems.
Hotel Owners/Managers: This undertaking may provide information to the hotel owners
in improving the management of the hotel.
Future Researcher: This will serve as a reference for future similar studies and it will
serve as a related study.
I.T. Students: This study might guide them to develop more sophisticated system in
hotel management and other businesses.
