To have effective team performance it is important to have clear set goals for the team to aspire to achieve.
For each staff member to know their own roles in achieving the team goals.
It is vital to have clear policies and procedures to help the team work together.

By readjusting staff responsibilities so each staff member has a new challenge.
By regularly updating training and finding new training courses and more interactive training courses for staff to undertake.
Outcome 2.1: identify the components of a positive culture within your own team
Team building events are important as they allow the team to spend time together outside of work and to regroup.
Delegation is important in team performance so that each person knows who to report to and their individual responsibilities so there is no confusion or conflict.
Outcome 3.1: Identify the factors that influence the vision and strategic direction of the team
As a company our mission statement is ; we will provide the highest level of care to our service users and will work closely with them, their families and health and social services to promote choice and independence amongst our service users by working in a person centred way. This mission statement is the biggest influence on our team strategic direction.
The role of strategic direction is to decide the end purpose of the organization. How the organization gets to the “end purpose” is through goals and strategy development.
The service users are one of the biggest influences to the team and their progress inevitably directs the team.
Training also influences the direction of the team as new training can change the way we work as training can be outlined by local governing bodies that can change procedures.
Outcome 3.4: evaluate how the vision and strategic direction of the team influences team practice
Strategic leadership provides the vision and direction for the growth and performance within a team. To influence team practice and successfully deal with change the team leader needs skills and tools for both strategic formation and implementation to enable the leader not only to provide sense of direction. Getting team members to think in the right direction with the ability to learn and adapt at the same time helps to ensure the strategy will deliver what it set out to achieve.
Having the mission statement influences team practice as it ensures we constantly strive to meet the mission statement outlined.
