There is no one way to execute being a good leader. There are a number of ways for one to convey being a good leader. An individual’s approach to leadership merely depends on one’s beliefs, values, ideals and preference. One way of leadership is to be charismatic which is what we call having “the gift of gab”. These individuals are usually very focused on doing the job well and want the same for employees.
Another very important leadership style is an autocratic leadership style. In an autocratic leadership style the manager does not want for the approval or opinion of the employees. Often times within this leadership style the employees are a bit intimidated by this manager. In several cases this type of leadership style imposes their authority on others and no challenges their authority. A participative leadership style is also a very significant leadership style. In a participative leadership style this manager is usually very involved with their employees. In this leadership style this individual usually encourages a team effort and team work, but in the end the final decision making lies with them.
There is also another very vital leadership style and that is one of transactional leadership. In a transactional leadership these managers are given certain duties that they are to carryout and they will implements rewards or penalties against employees based on their work performances. Within this leadership style the managers and employees also set goals and objectives together.
