1. Introduction:

Now-a-days global economy, businesses cannot ignore the importance of communication. Businesses are finding that it is in their best interest to learn about national, cultural and ethnic groups they need to communicate with to grow their businesses. Communication is so important in business; in fact businesses want and need people with good communication skills.

Effective communicators are, therefore high demand besides not surprisingly there is a high correlation between communication skills and income. Whatever the position ones have in business, performance will be judged mostly by the ability to communicate.

1.3.0 Limitation(s): Quite a number of difficulties were faced while preparing this report. Those hindered the progress of preparing this report. Such limitations are as follows:

▪ The time period for the report was not sufficient to make an in-depth study.
▪ Managing time for discussions within the team members was challenging.
▪ Deficiencies in data required for the report.

2.0 Methodology:

Basically this report is based on primary sources, as we have conducted a random survey towards the students of Business Administration of American International University-Bangladesh. Although some secondary sources has been also used based on demand of the report.

Actually this is an academic, besides conventional type of survey research report. We have just exploited some basic types of statistical tool to analyze the premise of the report according to the survey data. Based on the analysis of questionnaire we have also tried to find some outcomes that will ultimately comprise our objectives. We have also tried to provide some sorts of feedback according to our findings.

2.1.0 Data Source:

2.1.1 Primary Source(s): Mainly primary data has been accumulated through the survey that we have conducted by a questionnaire. The questionnaire is a structured, besides a close-ended-question; that means several options has been given to respond according to best stance of the respondent. There has been provided ten (10) exclusive questions to the respondent. The total sample size (n) of the survey was fifty (50) students from Business Administration of AIUB, whereas thirty (30) students from BBA, fifteen from (15) MBA and the rest five students were from EMBA program.

2.1.2 Secondary Source(s): Some small numbers of secondary sources has been also used for the development of questionnaire and further enrichment of the report. For these reasons we had gone through several books and websites.

3.0 Role & Issues of Communication Skills:

Good communication skills are the foundation of professional relationships. It's not just what a person says that matters; it’s how he or she says it. Communication skills are essential in all spheres of life. Be it an interview or dealing with the project leader or working out a solution with a team or writing a report, getting across the point effectively is what matters.

People in organizations usually spend 75 percent of their daily time on communication through writing, reading, listening, speaking, inter-debate etc. Effective communication is an essential component for organizational success, whether it is the interpersonal intra group organization or external levels. A recent newspaper report said that out of hundred interviews, only five qualified for the employability. It is not that were technically not sound but they lacked in communication skills. Communication skills are as important as technical qualifications for young people aiming at a bright career....
