William Shakespeare was born in 1564 to a successful middle-class glove-maker in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. Around 1590 he left his family behind and traveled to London to work as an actor and playwright. Among his play was Othello which is the second most popular Shakespeare play. Othello is a tragedy written by Shakespeare between 1601 and 1604. The main character of this play is Othello who is frame by Iago to believe that his wife Desdemona is having an affair with Cassio. Othello is a Moorish general in the service of Venice. He was blinded by Iago to seek revenge against his wife and his lieutenant.

Iago is trying to master the perfect plan, but he is quite aware that he should not act directly against Cassio or Othello because it can cause his death.
Therefore he chooses to go around and spread his contagious revenge to others. His chance to start his revenge is when he finds out that Othello is married to Desdemona. It seems to be the perfect opportunity, he starts with Roderigo. Roderigo is in love with Desdemona and he had been paying Iago to help him win Desdemona heart for marriage. Because he had try to win her heart but had no luck, he sees no other option but to seek help from Iago. Iago convince Roderigo that Othello is to be blame for his trouble. Iago tells Roderigo that the only way that Desdemona will be his; would be by getting rid of Othello. He now knows that Roderigo is hungry for revenge and he will then use him to also contaminate Brabantio heart and mind.
In the middle of the night Iago inform Brabantio that his daughter Desdemona had ran away with Othello. This marriage was very offensive to Brabantio due to their different backgrounds Desdemona is white and Othello is Black. He believes that Othello must to have done something to his daughter. He then decides to go see the Duke to demand him to punish Othello for taking his daughter. The Duke has great respect for Othello and tries to reconcile the two. Othello explain how Desdemona felt in love with him and request that she is brought in to tell them the truth. Once she tells them about the sincerity of her love for Othello her father decide to disown her at his daughter. It is obvious that Iago first try to take revenge against Othello did failed. The truth prevails against all the false statement against Othello.
Iago is determine to destroy Othello and will use anyone that can help him fulfill his thirst for revenge. He twists Othello love for his wife into a dominant and destructive jealousy. Eliminating Cassio is Iago first fundamental step in ruining Othello. He uses Cassio, youth, good looks and his ways with women’s to play in Othellos his insecurities about Desdemona infidelity. He encourages Roderigo to start a fight with Cassio, after such fight Cassio loses his place as lieutenant and is demoted by Othello.
Cassio is ashamed of what had happen and is quite aware of how disappointed Othello feels about him. Cassio share his worries with Iago who then advise him to talk to Desdemona to see if she can talk to Othello on his behalf. Iago playing double advocate manage to arrange a meeting between Desdemona and Cassio. Desdemona and Cassio are conversating and Once Othello arrives Cassio leaves without even acknowledging Othello. Othello ask Iago if that was Cassio talking to his wife, and why he left so suddenly without saying a word. Iago affirm to Othello that it does seem strange how they both have been acting, as if they were hiding something.
