How are Americans being informed about the government? How do young adults form political opinions? The public communication is an important factor in today’s government. Politian’s, board leaders, organization leaders and members of each community all need to project their message effectively in order to operate in society. The way the public interacts and how it is applied to the social aspects of American leadership greatly impacts American citizens.

People through daily news can know what is exactly going on today in their own region or in their own country, or even around the world. However, the communication between message sender and listener could cause big difference or even significant conflicts. There was a news about a man caught in a robbery scene and the news reporter reported that this man was caught in a robbery scene outside the grocery store. Then the neighbor of this guy noticed him on the TV. Then he must turn away his head and doing something so he missed one sentence of what the reporter said just only in couple seconds. Then he heard the news reporter said that the suspect still running if anyone know or see the man must call 911. He kept in his mind about this news. Then second day when he went outside to pick up his newspaper he saw his neighbor which is the suspect he saw on TV yesterday. So he shocked. Then he called 911 immediately. He thought this man was response for the robbery. When the police came they busted into that guy house and then realized that this is not the man that manager of the grocery described.
After all, this just like a joke to many of us but it also shows that miss understand or poor communication between people can cause really serious issues. This is only a small mistake made by the communication but what if a poor communication between two countries or regions, and that could cause really big conflicts even war. So, the public communication is really important and plays a really significant role in our daily life.
Public communication is a large factor in the involvement of citizens in the community. Civic engagement means working to make a difference in not only the community, but also in the nationwide public. It leads to the development of knowledge of government and upholds traditional values of America.
In the long history of the world, only a few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its hour of maximum danger. I do not shrink from this responsibility -- I welcome it. I do not believe that any of us would exchange places with any other people or any other generation. The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it. And the glow from that fire can truly light the world. And so, my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country. (Kennedy)
