Being a manger is always a very rewarding job, in the world of management, managers not only have to manage themselves, but they are also in charge of their staff, the company and the consumers. In order to run a very successful company a manager must always follow the four functions of management. The four functions of management is planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. I am currently a manager for one of Gap Inc. stores, and on a daily basic I must make sure that I am always controlling our payroll, so we do not use to much hours a week. Since my store is trying to control our payroll, with our planning of how we can manage our hours, my store as a whole now needs to staying focus and well organized. If my team push themselves and execute all their task in good time and if they push themselves to try and always do better than before, they could save payroll hours, and show themselves that with good planning and staying organized you can always do better than before.
Lead by example is something that I am always told, leading is guiding your fellow men on the track that you feel is more responsible. A manager, not only is responsible to help themselves grow so they can elevate to the next level; but they are responsible to lead their team/employees to grow with the company. Managers lead there team to help make their company very successful for the years to come. I currently have a specialist by the name of Tiffany working under me; I am training her so when there is a management position available within the company she can apply. With my leadership skills, I am training her on how to manage her time, and to always stay organized. Tiffany is currently in charge of my girls department, in the beginning Tiffany would burn through my payroll with such a small department.
