1. UVOD
Seminarska naloga temelji na raziskavi članka The Age of Consumer-Innovators katerega avtorji so Eric von Hippel, Susumu Ogawa in Jeroen P.J. De Jong. Članek predstavlja potrošnike inovatorje, kdo to so in kaj je njihova vloga. Avtorji razkrivajo njihove kjučne lastnosti ...view middle of the document...

Sledi vrednotenje članka, kjer bom podala svojo kritično presojo in primerjala dani članek z primerljivim znanstvenim člankom . Prikazala bom tudi nekaj praktičnih primerov, ki se navezujejo na celotno vsebino. Zaključila bom s sklepom, kjer bom povzela celotno seminarsko nalogo in podala ključne ugotovitve.

2. KRATEK POVZETEK ČLANKA
Članek poroča o velikem obsegu in področju inovacij potrošnikov. Potrošniki inovatorji so temelj za nove izdelke. Vsak potrošnik, ki ima dovolj znanja in tehničnih sposobnosti, se bo lotil izdelave produkta, ki bo zadovoljil njegovo potrebo in, ki ga trg še ne ponuja. V članku je predstavljena raziskava, ki kaže, da je največ potrošnikov inovatorjev tistih oseb, ki imajo diplomo, magisterij ali doktorat, torej so visoko izobraženi, tehnično usposobljeni ter po večini moškega spola. Potrošniki se lahko sami odločijo ali bodo svoje inovacijske izdelke razširili med uporabniki, ali jih bodo uporabljali zgolj zase. Raziskave kažejo, da zelo malo potrošnikov inovatorjev dejansko zaščiti svoje inovacije s patentom. Prav tako jih malo deli svoje inovacijske modele, naprimer z objavo na spletu. Mnogi potrošniki imajo danes premalo spodbude, da bi aktivno delili svoje inovacije ali pa se bojijo, da jih drugi potrošniki ne bodo sprejeli oziroma jih ne bi zanimale. Največ inovativnih izdelkov potrošnikov je namenjenih izključno za njihove potrebe. Nekatere potrošniške inovacije pa imajo večji potencial. Od kar obstajao spletne strani, kjer so objavljeni številni modeli potrošnikov inovatorjev, lahko potrošniki ne le, da ustvarijo nek inovativni izdelek, ampak imajo možnost, da že obstoječega modificirajo, spremenijo, izboljšajo. Torej bolj kot potrošniki delajo na tem, da delijo svoje inovacije, bolj to privlači proizvajalce, ki lahko potrošniku dejansko omogočijo komercializacijo izdelka in proizvodnjo linijo. Za same proizvajalce pa so potrošniki inovatorji najboljši vir za ustvarjanje novih potencialnih izdelkov. Podjetja, ki delujejo na tej ravni so po večini zelo uspešna, saj potrošniki inovatorji oziroma vodilni uporabniki razvijejo izdelek zaradi potrebe po njem in dajejo s tem podjetjem večji potencial kakor pa izdelki, ki se razvijajo zgolj zaradi komercializacije.

Eric Von Hippel rojen 27.8.1941 je ekonomist in profesor na MIT Sloan School of Management, kjer poučuje Management, Managment inovacij in Sistemski inženiring. Dodiplomski študij je obiskoval na Harvardu, kjer je diplomiral iz ekonomije. Po krajšem vmesnem iskanju želenega področja študiranja se je odločil za nadaljevnaje na MIT Sloan School of Management, kjer je zaključil magistrski študij iz strojništva. Nato je imel cilj ustvariti svoje podjetje in tako začel delati v pri management consultant McKinsey and Co. Na koncu pa je doštudiral na Carnegie Mellon University, kjer je leta 1974 doktoriral iz Inovacij. V kasnejših letih je naredil še dva doktorata in sicer leta 2004 na Ludwig-Maximillians...
