Terrorism can be defined as the use of force or even violence that is in terms unlawful against anybody or the property of said persons in order to instill fear, intimidate, or even to coerce ones government, and the civilian population in order to meet their objective. Terrorism takes place all over the world and not just in one specific place. Terrorist’s will sometimes operate in a capacity of one individual but mostly they are a part of not just one but many organizations. Any acts of terrorism will not only kill individuals, it will also bring down economies, as well as destroying livelihoods of all individuals affected.
There are two different types of terrorist’s organizations; you have your domestic organization for example the “Aryan Nations (AN) and your international organization for example ...view middle of the document...
The recruitment of personnel into the organization is done by the holding of summer festivals of hate, ore by prison outreaches (Aryan nations, 2007).
The international terrorist organization known as “al-Qaeda is an Islamic global military type organization that was founded by Osama Bin Laden sometime during the late 1980’s. This group has been deemed a terrorist organization by United Nations Security Council, NATO, European Union, the United States, and other countries. The primary goal of Al-Qaeda is basically to drive all Americans as well as the American influence away from all Muslim nations with Saudi Arabia being the primary focus, and to destroy Israel. Al-Qaeda recruited other members by the use of training camps which in turn was sponsored by them, managed and financially supported by them. These camps were used to instruct its newest members as well as associates of the organization on the use of weapons, explosives and chemical weapons. The camp also served as the front of all operational planning to carry out attacks on the United States. When we look at the differences in the two organizations what we understand is that the main difference between the two deals with the inclusion that falls under international terrorism. The other difference is determined where the acts take place. So, what we know is that international terrorism takes place on the outside of the United States where as domestic terrorism normally takes place within the United States (L. Fenstermache, L. Kuznar & T. Rieger (Eds.), 2010).
What most people understand is that terrorism weather it is international or domestic, individual or group, has been going on for centuries. In my opinion of terrorism is that I believe we can look at it as bullying that is on a much greater scale of things. To me there is nothing that is more dangerous when you have a terrorist who believes they do not have anything to lose but much to gain (Holetzky, 2013).
