1. Describe team members’ results on the Discovery Wheel and Develop your multiple intelligences exercises. What similarities and differences exist within the team?

We are Team Charlie, and our team consists of Robert Row, Scott Roush, and Tag Krogseng.
Robert was quite shocked at his results on The Discovery Wheel. He was deficient in communicating and taking tests. The rest of his results were within 2 or 3 points. What he found most intriguing was with his career, it is imperative to communicate. ...view middle of the document...

  Scott has a sharp memory, but Tag has some concerns with his memory capabilities.  Robert struggles with communication, while this is strength for Scott and Tag.  Tag is concerned with his planning techniques and Robert sees this as strength.  As a team, we are confident and comfortable with our initial observations and look forward to continued collaboration in meeting our educational objectives.

2. What are the advantages of having diversity on a team? What challenges might the team face because of diversity?

The advantage of having diversity on the team is the worldly perspective that it brings to the projects we will embark on. Different back grounds and experiences will enhance not only our learning experience, but also give the team life lessons that we can glean from each other. There can also be many challenges that will need to be overcome in order to have a successful team. Communication could be a very difficult proposition when it comes to linguistics from diverse back grounds. Other challenges could also be biased, based on gender, race, and ethnicity. If these do exist they will need to be addressed in the open with team based solutions to create a positive work environment to achieve the team’s desired success.

3. How might factors such as diversity, attitude, learning, and work styles affect team building?

Diversity will bring variety to our team and differences of opinion. This variety will also bring depth to our team. Individual attitudes will have a direct impact on the successes and failures of our team objectives. As a team, we need to work together to keep our attitudes in check. Learning is expected. How much we learn from each other will determine the strength of our team. Furthermore, we all can learn and benefit from one another. Our work styles will determine our individual roles within our team. Some will lead and some will follow. These roles will change with different objectives.

4. What is the benefit to team collaboration of understanding your ethical perspective?
