* Acquire or Develop Talent
Tanglewood will benefit from acquiring talent. The company is expanding yearly, opening new stores nationwide. Acquiring new talent for Tanglewood will speed up the process of expansion. Maintaining the company culture is also an important key for the organization, hiring internally the manager does not have to see if the employee “fits” within the organization.

* Core or Flexible Workforce

Tanglewood will benefit from a core workforce. Having temporary workers can benefit many organizations, however in the case of Tanglewood it will not. The company is seeking to retain employees that are dedicated to the brand that will help promote their unique ideas and processes. Having a core workforce will benefit the company as well as the employees. The employees will feel engaged with the organization. This engagement promotes loyalty and helps to retain employees.
* Hire or Retain

Tanglewood will benefit from a combination of both strategies. Turnover will occur when Tanglewood acquires a new retail location that previously had different business processes. Current employee within that company may not fit with Tanglewood’s philosophy. The company can then choose to fire the unfit employee or the employee might eventually quit on their own. Retaining employees drives costs down, with Tanglewood expanding turnover costs will need to stay at a minimum. Having a combination of both strategies will benefit Tanglewood in being prepared for changes in the future.
* National or Global

Large retail stores outsource their manufacturing products to keep production costs lower while increasing their annual revenue. Tanglewood wants to expand their market share, outsourcing manufacturing will keep prices lower then manufacturing within the U.S. Tanglewood will have to work closely with new vendors to maintain the integrity of the products, and insuring that they are created with an out doorsy style.
* Attract or Relocate
The recommendation earlier stated that Tanglewood would benefit from hiring a staffing company to hire new talent. Keeping with that recommendation, the company will benefit from attracting talent. Tanglewood will need to develop a compensation philosophy; this philosophy is then used by the organization to create compensation packages for their employees.
* Overstaff or Understaff

Tanglewood wants to provide their customers with the best service in order to gain customer loyalty towards their brand. Tanglewood would benefit from overstaffing as opposed to understaffing. Overstaffing will ensure that there are enough employees present within the retail locations at all times. The more employees are present, the more customers might reach out for assistance or questions. Even when...
