Stress Management Wellness Program Proposal
The Griffith Company is looking to implement an onsite wellness program for non-union employees. This program is a stress management wellness program that will help employees maintain a healthy stress level, manage daily stressors, and to promote a positive psychosocial health.

The stress management proposal is an incentive that Griffith Company will incorporate so that employees understand the importance of staying mentally, emotionally, physically, and psychosocially healthy.
Relaxation Room Equipment
It is proposed that The Relaxation Room includes the following equipment to meet the needs of the stress relaxation break.
• Television with home entertainment theater
• Nintendo Wii
• Wii Fit
• Lounge Chair
• Massage Chair
• Floor Mats
The home entertainment system will provide music that is calming for relaxation. The Nintendo Wii will be used for any employee seeking a physical stress relieving activity. The Wii Fit will promote a variety of ways to utilize physical relaxation in the comfort of the workplace. The lounge chair will allow employees to lay back, put their feet up, close their eyes, and escape to a place mentally and visually for relaxation. The massage chair will be for employees looking for tension and stress relief through muscle relaxation. Floors mats will be used for employees looking for an active relaxation method through stretching, breathing exercises, and meditation. DVD’s will be stored in the relaxation room for employees needing support from professional physical trainers to assist in meeting their mental relaxation goal.
It is proposed that the budget for implementing the Stress Management program and the resources required not exceed twenty thousand dollars (20,000).
Stress Management Research
While researching the stress management proposal, I used the relaxation technique to help manage my daily stress level for two days. During these days I took two, 20 minute relaxation breaks to ensure the effectiveness of the techniques. The advantages for the relaxation techniques that I found were channeling my energy, mood elevation, decrease in heart rate, and a clear mind. This allowed me to complete my work day more effectively. I did not feel mentally drained and there was a personal satisfaction with my mental well being.
