Task 1.1 Explain the importance of external factors affecting an organization (A.C.1.1)
The PEST model can help us to understand the significant impact of the external environment on the company business. Those factors are uncontrollable like political, economic, social and technological factors that are creating opportunities or threats to the company as following:
PoliticalUAE is a politically stable country has a closer ties with its neighbors in the Arabian Peninsula and many other regional, international and intergovernmental organizations, as well as, of course, the United Nations (UN) and its affiliated bodies. The government legislations and policies always serve the interests of the business & investments. Al Masaood like other entities benefits from that stable environment. | EconomicalUAE has supportive economic environment which is considered an important factor for attracting business and investments the healthy economic environment and increasing of the purchasing power. GDP growth of 4% (2013 est.), high GDP per capita, $29,600 (2012)(The world fact book, 2014). These figures give an indication about the healthy economic environment. |
SocialThe high economic situation is enhancing the lifestyle level and the customer attitudes which affect the increase in the purchasing power in the market. We have also another social advantage in UAE that the local population is mostly of youth people with median age of 30 years old (The world fact book, 2014), who loves riding cars of all types. | TechnologicalModern lifestyle in UAE affects the people choices for the high tech products. The car manufacturers are always aligned their products with the updated technology that is naturally attracts the UAE customers and the higher living standard facilitates the purchase of such products. |
Task 1.2 Analyze the needs and expectations of stakeholders in your chosen organization
Neil Ritson (2013) defining stakeholders are “groups or individuals that have an interest in the well-being of the company and/or are affected by the goals, operations or activities of the organization or the behavior of its members. They have ‘stake’ in what the organization does”.
We can categorize the stakeholders in Al Masaood into: (1) customers, (2) employees, (3) suppliers & distributers, (4) local community.
Customer: Al Masaood customers who purchase Nissan or Infinity cars have a certain expectations, some expect affordable prices in different ranges, other expect luxury products with very high standards and some looking for a unique. All of them trust that his car will be worth and he will get most of his money back when he will sell it. We are always looking forward to high customer...
