The Serenity Corner is a therapy store that will focus upon mental health and relaxation and aid in healthy living. The Serenity Corner will provide a variety of products to their consumer so they can use as tools and techniques in the privacy of their home to promote mental healthy living through relaxation therapy. Guided imagery is a therapy that is popular with many consumers that is used for stress management and coping. The availability of the guided images will be a strong attraction for customers to purchase and utilize for home therapy. The Serenity Corner’s mission statement is to provide the highest quality of guest servicing, products and services for at home relaxation therapy. We will do so by providing our customers with a diversified array of products, tools, and techniques in order for the customer to achieve a healthy balance of mind, spirit, and body.
Organization Vision

The vision of The Serenity Corner is to provide the best products, tools, and techniques available, at a reasonable price, to assist in satisfying all aspects of a customer’s needs and wants from a spa in the comfort, relaxing, and discrete atmosphere of their home. The vision for the future of the company is a vision that all, including the employees, will be proud of. The company will support and give back to the community in order to achieve its vision. By doing all the above The Serenity Corner will eventually become a company that has strong values and principles to embrace.
“Values are standards which we strive to achieve. Values are practical habits that enable us as individuals to live, be successful and achieve happiness”[pic] (Pearce & Robinson, 2009, p45). One can think of values as the standards that companies set and strive to achieve. The Serenity Corner’s values will help the company to achieve what is stated in the mission and vision statement. Just like the mission statement describes the type of products and services it does it in a way that will have a direct emphasis on the company’s values in the strategic planning process.
Guiding Principles: Culture, Social Responsibility, and Ethics
The Serenity Corner will have a value-orientated culture that will place direct emphasis on the many different cultures of its potential customers, incorporating the cultural experiences and needs into the store. The stores will have a multi-cultural feel and style, offering customers a wide range of aromatherapies and candles that embrace and represent the different cultures in society. For instance, the company will offer a wide range of scents and spices that are widely used in India to relieve stress and promote a healthy balance. The Serenity Corner will also place their values of integrity and honesty above everything else when dealing with their customers. The Serenity Corner must at all times remain socially responsible while fulfilling customers’ needs. Part of being socially responsible is continuing to contribute to society in a way that will continue to sustain it.
