Human Resources Managers role is different from one organization to another. In this paper it will explain the roles and responsibilities of a Human Resources Manager, discuss recruitment and retention. It will also discuss the employee performance, regulatory compliances and lastly it will discuss compensation and benefits for employees. However, now training and development is available, and sometimes required, for all people in all departments of the health care industry. The Human Resources Chief Officer is usually given the task and responsibility of training non-clerical skills and management development to all employees. However, some educational and clinical training still remain the responsibility of the Nursing Department. The Human Resources Manager usually deals with professional and a few support personnel of comparable skills, making the people problems fewer and correction actions far less necessary. Human Resources are responsible for conducting and analyzing performance reviews from all different departments. If an employee is not doing the work that is assigned to them or is constantly tardy or absent than Human Resources is responsible for the disciplinary action taken against that employee up to termination from the organization.
