As stated at the articles of Strategy&, the retail trends has been changing until today in the year 2015. By using online channels, there is a three-quarters of growth in retail sales since 2000. The online channel today has taken up about 8 percent of total retail sales. Traditional retails also known as the physical stores today are bringing in e-commerce into their business, resulting the steady growth of online sales (Strategy&, 2015). In Asia, the Asian market is known as the home to some of the world’s fastest-growing and biggest online retailing companies according to ‘Internet Retailer’s newly published 2015 Asia 500’. This has cause the push of e-commerce to build their own logistics systems with a large amount of cost and time (Gupta & Carter, 2012). East Asia‘s progress on logistics is doing very poorly and failed to keep track with it’s growth in trade(Carruthers, Bajpai, Hummels) Second, is the security issues that concerns the consumers. The retail industry took this as a strategic challenge because it will affect the company’s reputation and profit. Like for example in Malaysia, making a transaction online is not as popular as in the western countries. Although researchers surveyed that many in general actually liked the idea of doing shopping online but only a small amount of number of Malaysians actually did their purchase on the internet. About 96% of Urban adults in Peninsular Malaysia never purchase anything on the internet and those who have done it results only a mere 4%. They are delaying the transaction due to the lack of product and value awareness, also concerns regarding the credit and security. Even so, regardless of the reason the issue had created unnecessary anxieties for many businesses and consumers (Paynter & Lim, 2011).

In a global perspective, logistics is a problem in thousands of India. Researchers found out that postal address are not standardized, people in India are quite likely to receive a call from logistics company asking about a customer’s exact location but the logistics problem in India is not just about the lack of standardized in postal address. Due the large size of country many towns are not easily accesible and so international logistics providers, private Indian company and also the government-owned postal services are putting great effort to solve these logistics challenges (Yadav & Napal, 2014). This will result incovenience for international countries to do their business in Asian countries like India. In China, they too face logistics problem due to a report stating that global ‘best practices’ and any form of supply chain were never heard in the republic of China and the great amount of Chinese firms were systematically unable to repond to the change in markets. While only very basic logistics knowledge is widespread, the skills required to engage in more sophisticated logistics is much more limited (Daly & Cui, 2002).
From an ethical point of view, the retail industry faces ethical issues like manufactures competing with intermediaries online. ‘Disintermediation’, it means wiping out intermediaries like retailers, wholesalers, outside sales reps by using a Website to do direct sales to customers. Like for example, musics that are downloaded directly from producers or in another case authors distributing their work from...
