INTRODUCTION:
Starbucks Corporation started its business in March, 1971. It was a single store that provided the best quality coffee made from the fresh roasted coffee beans. In 1981 Howard Schultz joined the company and he travelled to Italy and visited many Coffee Bars there and brought new ideas with him. He wanted to introduce the Italian coffee tradition in the America. The idea was to create a third place for the people other than the office and workplace where they can socialize with each other. With this vision, in August 1987 he purchased Starbuck with the help of a local investor and launched an outlet outside Seattle. (Starbuck, 2013).

It had also developed it Environment mission statement to show the responsibility. The company is fiscally very strong and it is working towards the environment responsibility and following the strong social values but its profitability is never affected. (Starbuck, 2013).
STARBUCKS PRODUCTS:
Starbucks corporation purchases and sale the Coffee, Espresso Beverages, Coffee related products, desserts and coffee beans. In superstores nationwide, the whole bean and ground coffee packages can also be purchased. It has a subsidiary also with the name of Tazo Tea Company, where tea of various types is made and sold.
STARBUCKS MISSION STATEMENT:
The mission and vision statement of Starbucks is “to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time." (Starbuck, 2013).
The company’s mission and vision statement is combined. And its mission statement delivers the following message:
High Quality Coffee:
Starbucks mission includes providing the best quality of coffee and work hard to improve and maintain the high standards.
Partners:
Every worker of Starbucks is its partner as they all strive to provide the best services to its customers and work with respect and dignity.
Customers:
Starbucks provide the satisfying services to its customers and focuses on the socialization of the people.
Neighborhood:
The company believes that they are part of the community and always work passionately for the betterment of the community and environment.
Stores:
Starbucks stores are the best place where a customer can go and relax whenever they want.
Shareholders:
Starbucks believes that the success of the company is due to each and every person involved in it. It considers itself fully accountable and responsible to work for the betterment of its shareholders.
STARBUCKS VALUE PREPOSITION:
The mission statement also depicts the strategy of the company and its values that it follows for the work, workers and customers. These values and vision has played a vital role in the success of the Starbuck business. The mission statement of Starbucks presents the following values prepositions:
• Create an experience for its customers related to the coffee consumption that they will enjoy and remember in their lives.
• Provide a place where customer can experience intimacy.
• Create an environment where people can socialize and communicate with each other and work for community and uplift human spirits.
