The software and hardware in use at this facility consists of 35 Dell Optiplex desktop computers (introduced in 2003 – outdated as of 2009) running Microsoft Windows 2K OS and Microsoft Office 2000. The current hardware and software in use at Riordan Manufacturing is very outdated, meaning software upgrades would be impossible due to compatibility issues. Riordan will need to purchase new hardware and software which will require a complete overhaul of their IT systems currently in use.
