Similar concepts between Christianity and Islam

Christianity and the Islam religion are the two largest religions in the world. Although both vary in different ways, both religions do have a wide range of beliefs and practices. However some things regarding both religions have similarities. Through my investigating I found several things that were similar, but I will only list the similarities I found the most interesting and dominant.
1. The first similarity I discovered was the Lord’s Prayer in the Bible (Christianity)”Our father who art in heaven hallowed be thy name” and the opening chapter in the Qur’an (Islam)”Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, the compassionate, the ...view middle of the document...

Also during prayer God can make agreements with humans. Prayer can be communicated at any time for both religions. However special times do exist to ensure man has a regular opportunity to pray. Also many from both faiths depending on denomination use aids such as prayer beads during prayer[4].
4. The next similarity I found was that both religions have very sacred texts. Christians have the Bible and Muslims have the Qur’an (Koran). Both believe that their texts are inspired, literal words of God and are inerrant in original languages.[5] These divine scriptures from which they can study God’s plan have different languages but the meaning is nearly identical. The duty of the people is to read or listen to God’s holy writings and to respond with prayer, praise and with appropriate acceptance of God’s commandments. Other similarities between the Qur’an and the Bible are the characters in both of them. Both religions present Adam and Eve, Moses, Abraham and his sons as well as several others with similar stories.
5. The last common similarity I discovered was that both Muslims and Christians believe in and recognize Jesus Christ. Christianity...
