It is divided into several modules like financial accounting, controlling, process planning, production planning, and materials management. SAP solutions deliver real-time visibility across the entire enterprise and are not limited to top management, it controls engineers, the IT team and can be used by every individual in an organization. Companies that adopted SAP are turned around in increased production, because it offers faster information processing and making decision with ease and no fear of risk. After the deep study of functionality, cost, time, compatibility, operability, support and future organizational requirements it has reached to great success. The implementation of SAP software was developed with certain strategies. By this TISCO bring the new learning and innovation to the work, this helped for making world class products, services and strengthen its leadership position in the industry.
Many organizations other than TISCO have given up the idea of ERP due to fear of failures in the implementation stage. TISCO proved to be different from others by choosing ERP at the right time and implementing it properly due to which it result in huge profit and reduction of cost . They used the big bang strategy for implementing the ERP system, though this method of implementation carries a lot risks especially for big companies.
The net results of their ERP software have been described as path breaking and trend-setting one. At Tata steel the challenge for them is not the successful implementation of SAP but the main motto is to build the good working environment, so that the people and customer of Tata steel feel satisfactory and get convinced about SAP.
