The Roles and Functions of Law
There are different functions and roles of law in the modern business society in the justice system. The business law is a specific set of rules regarding oversees businesses and can take measures to correct injustices. These rules of law provide the social functions in peacekeeping, balancing government power, providing individuals’ freedom, implement plans with appropriate expectations, establishing social justice, and safeguarding the environment.

The function of contract law interoperates and enforces agreements with every party that will finalize a guaranteed outcome. Contracts are written agreements that the courts normally recognize as a binding agreement under the law between two parties that outlines in detail of duties and expectations. When developing a contract several areas an attorney needs to keep in close attention to the formation of the contract, and the signing date of the contract, address in detail the possibility of abandonment of a contract of the obligation in the future, the amount of exchange with the specific terms of the exchange of the contract, and details of actions should the contract be breached. “In order to have a binding contract it must be in writing in order to be enforced to meet the requirements under the statutory law” (Melvin, 2011, p. 128). There is such a large variety of different contracts in business area, and it becomes vital in understanding the details of contract laws in order to run a successful business.
