Being hired as a consultant for a community mental health facility my main focus will be
risk assessment and management that will be used to identification of quality patient outcomes.
This would mean that any projects that are done in the community mental health facility will
need to be well planned and thought out, understanding also that once the program is installed
it will remain an ongoing process, allowing room for improvements.

The psychiatric care will cover multiple mental health services that are assessable to all members of the community. All community members are eligible to receive community mental health services, no one will be turned away even if they are not able to pay for the service no matter what age, nationality, religion, race, sex or economic status. The community mental health center will provide a wide range of services, and risk assessment and risk management are crucial to a safe environment for patients and employees.
Risk Management
The purpose of risk management will include:
• Bias and error in risk assessment
• Record keeping and confidentiality
• Defensible decisions
• Need to know models of risk assessment
• Strategic plans for improvements
• Mental health inquiries
• Local guidelines and policy
