The right to pray in school/Schools should be neutral
Since the foundation of this country was established, there have been many influxes of different culture beliefs and ethnicity. Since the Engle decision in 1962, (Engel v. Vitale 1962), ones who have been spreading the word of religion for years have not been satisfied with the Supreme Court for “taking God out of the classroom.” In an effort to reverse this trend, those spreading the word of religion have been fighting many years to have prayer/religion placed back into the public school system activities. Not all religious advocates are clear as to what activities they would like to see in the public schools, they are admitting they would like some religion/prayer implemented somewhere. They also began challenging the separation of church and state in hopes of providing students with strong moral and ethical backgrounds.

We can have “Sex Education” classes. Pregnancies were down or not heard of before 1963. After 1963 pregnancies increased 187% in the next 15years (Section 10d). SAT scores have been a standard of measure to come for many years. The scores in the public schools have dropped tremendously. Scores were great before prayer was removed from school. After 1963 when prayer/religion was removed from the public schools SAT scores started to see an insufficient decline (Section 10d). “Drug Education” classes are also introduced into the curriculum of public schools. According to Monitoring the Future, a study funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse, illicit drug use is up among students between eighth and 12th grade. In 1991, 62 % had used illicit drugs. In 2007, the number jumped to 77 % (NIDA 2011). The way our children are being taught in public schools today, our children need “Five minute moments of silence”, placed back in our public schools.
Our country was founded by people who believed that freedom should be practiced freely. One believes that if prayer was allowed back into the public school system children would have more respect of themselves. They would love one another as Christ loved them. Prayer back in the public school system could help children learn of a power much higher than one self. Instead of children going to the drugs, sex, and fighting; they could learn that they have their own personal relationship that they could rely on in the time of need. There would be less bullying, fighting, unwanted pregnancies, drugs and a lower drop-out rate. Prayer back into the public schools would help our children become better adults. “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Prov 22:6). The bible teaches us that. Instilling prayer back into the public school system will help those children that may stray, have the moral and value instilled in them early on. They will know what to do in the time of need. There will be more structured environment in the schools. Less stressed teachers and more learning time with our children. A moment of silence a day can help keep the wickedness away.
