Reflection Paper

The three topics that I would like to write about is Did Jesus claim to be God? , If a
person is a Christian, does it matter how they live their life? and What can your local church do
to better communicate God’s love to your community. I feel that these three topics are very
important to me because since Jesus did claim to be God, why did he claim it because since God
is the almighty, there must be something special about him because no one would really claim it
unless they can prove it. Jesus did claim to be God and he did it in ways that really amazed
people including myself when I was first reading the bible and knowing more about it. The other
topic ...view middle of the document...

He also asserted his omnipresence(Matt 18:20, John 3:13) ,
omniscience(John 11:14) , and omnipotence(Matt 28:18, John 5:21-23, 6:19). He also received

approval of human worship(Matt 14:33, 28:9, John 20:28-29). If he allowed people to worship
him, he must believe he is God, if I was not God, I would not let me people worship me because
it would be just wrong that anyone claim to be their messiah. Jesus also forgave sins(Mark 2:5-
7, Luke 7:48-50). It’s hard to forgive anyone’s sins because what is done, is done and can’t be
forgiven unless you are God. He is the only person that can do that because he feels that every
body sins and should be forgiven only if they can repent from those sins and not to try to do it
again. He also made Jehovahistic claims like saying “I am” and providing bread, light, the door,
the way, the truth and the life. What also makes it interesting was his predictions of resurrection
after his death. No one can come back from death yet predict when they are coming back
especially when he said he was coming back within three days and appeared amongst his
apostles. He really took himself very seriously and would not lie to anyone because he feels that
to lie to anyone is a huge sin and to try to be truthful at all times. He also knew who he was and
wanted everyone to know and what really affected me was when he could predict the future. It’s
almost impossible to predict the future but there is no one that can predict the future. All the
things he predicted came true as well like the when the great city of Tyre which was thrown in
the Mediterranean Sea. (Ezek. 28:3-6, 12:14), Philitia was a very strong city and predicted it’s
downfall. (Zeph. 2:4-7). The land of Gaza was called a desert(Acts 8:26). Egypt was one of the
strongest cities if not the central country and predicted it’s downfall and never gained it’s
superiority it had once. He only would call himself God if not he already knew and he knew, he
was very special and be the one to lead them to the promise land. Jesus was also the most
perfect person because he was wonderfully balanced in personality and action. No single
strength of character stands out in him, no weaknesses, no deficiency and never apologized for
anything he did because he believed everything he did was the right thing.(pg.4, Towns)

Reflection Paper 3
The other topic I chose was If a person is a Christian, does it matter how they live their
life? I do believe that if a person is a Christian, they should live there life as how God would
want them to be and that is people that believe in him and follow every word that he says.
Rarely people would get baptized if they did not want to be a Christian. Christianity is very big
that there are at least hundred million believers(pg 2, Towns) which is a pretty astonishing
number. So some Christians stay at home or got to other designated places to worship...
