I am interested in covering portraiture photography; the main area of interest is aspects of fashion and advertising. Images that are simple yet have a strong story to tell.

Through this project I hope to be able to challenge the ideologies of the viewers, I hope the images will be thought provoking. The reason for this is because in the ‘norm of society’ we usually categorise and stigmatise individuals who cannot be stereotyped as normal. Instead we find another category for these individuals and label them ‘different’.
My aim is to shine a light on how stigmatised people are “normal” and can still be admired.

I will use a 35mm camera with black and white film, so the photographs will be as clear and detailed as possible. The pictures will be taken with a fashionable feel, set on a simple background, , to shun any diversion from the subject matter. Lighting will be used, in order to enhance the set and picture quality, however in order to show the scar in a defined manner I will avoid the use of flash as this may result in...
