Proposal to Create a Research Report on Corporate e-Learning
For good reason, the growth and development of our employees through improved learning opportunities is one of the main values found in PG&E’s mission statement. PROPOSAL STATEMENT AND RESEARCH QUALIFICIATIONS
I propose to complete a research project on corporate e-learning with the intent to use the research as a preliminary design and implementation guide for the e-Learning Initiative. All work to be completed will be performed by me. As Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s Training and Development Manager, I have extensive research expertise in the field of corporate training and development.
Scope: The research report will summarize five scholarly articles on corporate e-learning found via the Academic Search Premier database using the keywords corporate e-learning, case study, online, training, and development. In addition, the report will summarize one case study on the topic.
Sources: The attached Works Cited page lists key articles and case study to be analyzed in the research report.
Methods: The research report will address the following research questions:
o What trends in research methods or results can be identified in the literature?
o Are there identifiable controversies within the literature?
o Are there identifiable weaknesses in the methods or conclusions in the literature?
o What areas/topics for future research are recommended in the literature?
o Peer review draft complete: 11/27
o Final draft complete: 12/4
