Executive Summary

This proposal is to provide insight on effective ways to implement and manage the new inventory system. Implementation of any new system is going to have a few glitches. The knowledge of how issues were handled in the past will aid in troubleshooting glitches and find solutions. The lack of knowledge of the new system and proven misuse of the old inventory system has given rise to a need for someone to be knowledgeable about the potential flaws and how to correct those flaws and any other issue that may arise. As times change, Wal-mart must also change the way to correct errors and establish efficiency. With that being said, Wal-Mart has to remember what was learned from the past to better correct the present system so it is able to improve its future. Wal-Mart should focus on the system and all its components, both technical and human parts, to ensure proper application of the new inventory system to increase future earnings and decrease costs.
