3- Hierarchy of activities- The risk register gives a clearer view of priorities. The item with a higher probability of occurrence and severity receives first attention.
4- Risk Reduction/Contingency- The risk register also consists of risk reduction actions that are designed to reduce the likelihood of the risk occurring and contingency plan that reduces the risk consequences if it occurs.
5- It also assists new team members get acquainted and quickly catch up with the project processes.
Limitation of the Risk Register
6- Limitation – The degree of risk transferred and recorded must be included in the risk register. It is more prevalent in projects that involve consortia. Only very few persons are conversant with the risk in the entire project.
