The practice of giving private tuitions and teaching students in coaching classes in shifts is increasing day by day in India. The parents of the Indian boys and girls are mostly of the view that their wards can only get better knowledge only by tuitions and different coaching classes, which are generally run of the working teachers of colleges, universities and unemployed educated youth.
It is my personal experience that even teachers teaching in lower classes i.e. from primary to junior high school advise the parents of the students that their wards could only get through in home examinations and would be able to secure good marks if are taught by their own teachers, either way of ...view middle of the document...
Allocating times for private tuition reduces their time spent in unhealthy pursuits.
Private tutors also help to motivate the students to study hard. A private tutor can keep the students on the right track when they stray off course. Private tutors can assign homework to them, so that they can spend their time in a more meaningful way. A private tutor can thus act as a role of disciplinarian.
Having private tuition also has its disadvantages. Sometimes tutors provide additional homework on top of those given by teachers in school. The extra homework from tutor is an added burden to the students.
Private tuition can be a financial burden to parents who are poor. However, when the student is a slow learner who needs a tutor outside school, tuition is a necessary evil. Some students treat their tutors as a walking dictionary, expecting them to furnish answers to the homework given by school without thinking through the solutions by themselves over time. This can make them mentally lazy.
First , need for private tutions comes when
->teachers do not play their part well ,when they teach a particular subject in class room
->and when student doesn't listen to what taught in the class properly..
If both of this is prevented then there is no need for ban.......
IF they are not avoided, then there should be ban on private tutions which are taught especially by same teacher who teaches same subject in classroom..
1) teacher may continue with same way that what she taught in class room,
2)teacher may reduce her teaching areas so that she may continue in her private tutions ,which affect the students not coming to the tuitions
3)teacher may show partiality to student coming to their tuitions
Private Coaching are like an additional advantage to the rich people....
