Nutrition and exercise is very important because they provide the body with all that it needs to be healthy. Creating an Exercise and Nutrition plan will help the author attain her weight loss goals. She is 5 ft. 7 inches female weighing 165 pounds, which is a healthy weight range for the height. 5 cups of vegetables a day. She only consumes about 1 cup of fruit and 1.4 cups of vegetables each day. These are huge deficiencies in the diet and it will make losing weight a challenging feat. Also, the author is deficient in grains. Eating more grains gives the body fiber and the author only consumes about 5.0 oz of grains out of the recommended 6 ounces. Moreover, physical activity is an integral part of a nutrition and exercise program. She plans to implement the exercise part of the program by choosing 4 or 5 days to exercise in the mornings. Exercising is an ongoing process, so it best to start with a positive attitude and choose the best time that can be dedicated to getting at least 60 minutes of exercise per day.

Recently the author has implemented the nutrition and exercise plan by waking up each morning to go jogging for at least an hour a day. She is also consuming more grains and eating more fruits and vegetables. It is a slow process, but progress is being made to live a healthier and more active lifestyle. Each day, she eats a fruit, such as a banana for breakfast and a daytime snack and eats vegetables for lunch and dinner. These are the necessary steps that have to be taken to meet her goals.
Anticipated Setbacks and Solutions
An anticipated setback of the plan is that the author may not be able to maintain her motivation to keep physically active and eating healthy. Motivation is often plays an important role in helping people stay committed to their objectives. Another setback is trying to maintain weight loss. However, for every obstacle that arises, she plans to use inspiration from family and friends as a motivational and inspirational tool in her quest to lose weight. In addition, to maintain weight loss, she plans to keep working out, taking vitamin supplements to keep her healthy and strong, and to keep eating healthy to avoid temptations for unhealthy foods.

Additionally, success will be measured by health, weight loss, and endurance. The most important concept of losing weight is to focus on health and not on the numbers on the scale. Health is the first priority because once the author feels better; she will know that she is attaining her goals. However, weight loss is important because it will let her know if she is abiding by the objectives of her nutrition and exercise plan. Once the weight starts diminishing, she will know that she is doing the right thing for her body and her mind. Another important method to analyze success is to measure endurance. If the body feels stronger and has more stamina and strength, an individual will know that the plan is working in their efforts to live a healthier life.
