Personal responsibility in my eyes is taking full responsibility for your actions and the way you handle yourself in the everyday life. My responsibility is to take ownership of my actions my schoolwork, my job, and my family. I am the only one who is in control of my life and no one else.
I chose to go back to school on my own. I realized that if I want to move up in or grow my company I need to further my education and learn how a business operates and functions. When I graduate, I will have a degree to reinforce my career dreams. My goal is not to simply make it but to give 100% dedication to my schoolwork. I believe anyone can complete college but it takes dedication to do it with pride. With my degree, my job opportunities will not only open up at my current job but other jobs as well. I can train for other jobs that I always wanted to do with in my company and have the confidence to stand by what I know.
With the discussion of careers, the responsibility of officials, judges, and members of the professions have to be included also. Professions have collective responsibilities not only to their clients and to the community at large, but to potential clients too. There is a standing temptation to restrict entry to the profession by raising the standard required, which provides a Rolls Royce service for those who get it, but means that many go without their Fords.
