Personal Goal Essay

Abstract
According to free dictionary com; goal is the aim or object towards which an endeavor is directed. My personal goal is to become a Nurse anesthesiologist which one day will secure me a Job in respectable hospital and will be committed to working with the care of saving lives, by monitoring the patient like a hawk while under anesthetic medication and making sure of being with patient after surgery to make sure they are stable. This goal will be fulfil by setting my goal in steps of short term, long term and the ultimate goal. Nevertheless, I am determined; I will work hard to fight all obstacles that could hinder my way of progress. Just like in the real world of nursing, when you set a short term goal for your patient, from the day of admission, having met this goal , you know that it is time to look into the long term goal that has being set and from there you know it is time to plan for discharge. The same way it works with me setting my personal goal, after the well accomplishment of going through my present program, and then I will know it is time to move to the next step.
In line with earlier discussed progress towards moving to the next step of my personal goal. My long term goal is to continue with my education and proceed to get my master’s degree. To obtain masters in nursing, I will make sure I do my homework right, as to which school is right for me. An accredited school that will be able to prepare me for the kind of future and that will suit my personal goal. It will take on my part total commitment to a life time of studying and research, study for lot of evidenced base learning. I will try very hard to transfer to the surgery department at my present job or find an outpatient surgery to work as a part time staff with the surgeon, all in the effort of preparing myself and getting the knowledge needed for my personal goal. This will also help me to remain current and stay on tract, so as not to lose vision of me becoming a nurse anesthesiology. The experience gained during this period will be of very vital key to use when applying in future to my specialty area; it is also going to be a good part, to add on my resume.
