Literary Analysis: Of Mice And Men
In the book Of Mice And Men here are many there are many ropy that take place in this novel, for example the mental health of Lennie. The character Lennie helps the author John Steinbeck, show how people with mental health issue would've been treated in those days by Lennie's childish behavior and the affect it has in his actions , how he's dependent on George and the way he's treated, his forgetfulness and the outcome of the novel.

When Lennie gets into trouble, he gets scared and stops using his common sense and his reaction to the problems aren’t correct. The same happens when he feel endangered. For example, Lennie loves to pet soft things, so when he tried to pet on the girl dress in Weed, the girl freaked out thinking that he was going to rape her. Lennie on the other hand didn’t know what was going on and feeling that he was endangered or in trouble, he held on to the dress. Another example would be when Curley starts to pick a fight with him, Lennie freaks out and doesn’t know what to do, letting Curley’s punches hit him. Although Lennie asks George to help him, Slim tries to interfere but,”Get ‘im Lennie!”, George yells. In response Lennie reached for Curley’s hand before he took another swing at him.He clenched his huge hands, causing Curley’s hand to get crushed.
Even though Lennie is forgetful he can still remember things. "You can't remember nothing that happens, but you remember every word I say." After everything that Lennie does, he can't remember a thing only what George says. For example, when George tells Lennie about their dream place, Lennie is the one who interrupts what George says about their dream place. Also, after Lennie accidentally...
