Nerds
With nerds being around so many years over time things are beginning to change in their subculture. Nerds in modern day are not like the use to be back in the days. Everything about them are evolving from lame to the point now you can barely notice them from any other person. They’re just trying to fit in just like any other subculture now days. Nerds are not the same now how they were back then.
Everyone calls this subculture by many names mostly Nerds or Geeks. What about the nerds and geeks of the world? Where is their infographic, when will nerds feel safe to leave their studies and work alone and try to live a little? Nerds are most definitely evolving. Paul Graham stated “Nerds aren't the only losers in the popularity rat race. Nerds are unpopular because they're distracted. There are other kids who deliberately opt out because they're so disgusted with the whole process.” This statement to me shows how they are not a part of this big race we have in popularity. Of course the subculture has changed to fit modern apparel but yet still they are looked down upon.
Even though the world view them as lame or unpopular, nerds are often the subculture that helps us today out the most. With so many technological creations being made, without the nerds we would have a hard time coming up with most of the things we use daily. They are very smart with the things we need to start a project. They make great engineers, teachers, scientist, and etc. With a world that constantly upgrades technology we need nerds to help us a planet to evolve. They give us that, yes they’re unpopular but our lives are based on their minds and creations. Nerds make things easier on us, will so much information stored in their brains it is easy for them to answer simple questions for us. Things we need to know they can help.
Over the past couple of weeks I have been observing nerds from home and from at my school, Tennessee State University and I’ve notice a lot of similarities and differences. Subjects such as mathematics and science seem to be a big study in their lives in both locations. At school you see a group of nerds hanging together they’ll be in the library or computer labs studying on...
