The power distance- is a low power distance country while countries such as the reservation are at the power distance side. For ex: like Window Rock is are capital which would probably have less powerful members or high powers. People in high distance countries like the U.S. and ex: Washington D.C. is a big and huge difference between the reservations and tend to believe that power and authority are facts of life and having more power in the society area. Both consciously and unconsciously, these cultures teach their members that people are not equal in this world and that everybody has a rightful place, which is clearly marked by countless vertical arrangements. Masculinity-femininity- refers to which persons see themselves as masculine or feminine given what it means to be a man or woman in society. Femininity and masculinity are rooted in the social one's gender rather than the biological one's sex. Societal members decide what being male or female means dominant or passive, brave or emotional, and males will generally respond by defining themselves as masculine while females will generally define themselves as feminine. Because these are social definitions, however, it is possible for one to be female and see herself as masculine or male and see himself as feminine. So for ex the Women is the head of the rules and house as well because a women is more dominant in the area. As for a male he is the one that provides for the family the leader. On the reservation we see the women being the leader and the male no even fit into the structure. But in the U.S. the outside world you see more male having that independent power.

Uncertainly Avoidance- Uncertainty avoidance deals with a society’s tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity it ultimately refers to man’s search for Truth. It indicates to what extent a culture programs its members to feel either uncomfortable or comfortable in unstructured situations. Unstructured situations are novel, unknown, surprising, and different from usual. On the reservation I believe that there is a huge role of the culture being threaten and by uncertain and unknown circumstances. And in the U.S. there is a huge told of the opposite there that challenge and they face it and not feeling threat by comparing and contrast.
