The turn of the century introduced America to a whole new way of how we receive mass media. Smart phones, IPhones and IPads are just a few ways the American people can have media at their fingertips. “We have an app for that” used to be just a play on words, but in today’s society there really is an app for everything. Major cosmetic companies use this type of persuasion to influence young women to use certain hair products or eye make-up by photographing beautiful models wearing their product, then advertising among the pages of magazines or newspapers. Giving the idea that by wearing their product they will look as beautiful as the models.
