For a telecommunication Company which is based on Singapore to establish services is much more flexible in terms of distance, communication and capital cost.
SWOT Analysis consists of Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and Threat. Strength and Weakness are under Internal Environment Category. Opportunity and Threat are under External Environment Category. Strength is how the Company manages in the organization and to be successful in the business environment. Weakness could affect the Organization in both reputation and income. Opportunity is where Organization holds onto the chance and uses it for better outcome and for the future of the Company. Threat could be an issue for an Organization whereby it has to be rectified.

Three Pointers Of SWOT Analysis
Postpaid Plans – Starhub was the first company to introduce free incoming call Postpaid plans. With the free incoming call in the postpaid plan bundle, customers were attracted by it and they signed a contract with Starhub. For an example, Singtel postpaid plan cost $29.90 per month with a certain amount of free incoming call and outgoing call. Starhub is offering postpaid plan with a certain amount of free outing call and a completely free incoming call at the same cost of what Singtel is offering which is $29.90.
Illegal Setup Box – Starhub has a cableTV service for entertainment purposes. To utilize the service, Customers have to subscribe TV programs with Starhub and a rental setup box to enjoy the TV programs from Starhub. Some subscribers have gotten illegal setup box in possession from 3rd party to enjoy these TV programs. This means subscribers with the illegal setup box could watch almost all TV programs which Starhub is offering even though they are not paying for all the TV programs.
Competitors – Starhub have been facing competitors like M1 and Singtel. Ever since Starhub implemented free incoming calls on postpaid plans, M1 and Singtel came out with the same postpaid plan of free incoming call to keep existing customers with them and to attract new customers as well. Competitors are following steps of what Starhub is offering to stay competitive and to survive in the telecommunication industry.
