210) I believe at least twice; testifying to refute accuser's mom testimony about himself, I believe, was damaging to him; possibly his many face and skin bleaching and surgeries. This would denote to me that he was unhappy with himself and possibly had something to hide. The age of the victim could be damaging to him, also. The fact that Michael Jackson was accused of this type of behavior(sexual misconduct) with a minor at his ranch could sway the jury to find him guilty (p.210).The type of psychological expert that the defense should hire is someone who has expertise in behavior disorders and personalities and has experience in dealing with celebrities. The psychological expert needs to point out the fact that Michael Jackson was allegedly abused as a child (Ramsland, 2002, p.27). The expert needs to point out why Michael changed his appearance so many times and appeared to have bleached his skin so much as to appear to be a light skin African-American. These acts could show that Michael Jackson could have suffered persecution from society and thereby may not have seen anything wrong with sleeping with young boys at his Netherland Ranch (Ramsland, 2002, p.27 & Bartol & Bartol, 2004).References, C.R. and Bartol, A.M., (2004) Psychology and the Law: Theory, Research, and Application, 3rded.,6-7.Wadsworth/Thomson.Online classroom notes: Argosy University, 2009, retrieved 5-26-09.http://courttv.com//jackson/, retrieved 5-27-09.Ramsland, K., (2002) The Criminal Mind: A Writer's Guide to Forensic Psychology.1.Writer's Digest Books.
