CASO 2: MÉXICO TIERRA DE AMARANTO.
             
Dilema
La organización “Mexico Tierra Amaranto” (MTA) surgió en 2004 a partir de un proyecto coordinado por la Ing. Mary Delano, coordinadora de ciencias del Instituto Alpes de Querétaro, que demostraba los beneficios a la salud con la ingestión del amaranto, un sustituto proteico y más barato para el huevo, leche y carne.   El proyecto contaba con la colaboración de otros académicos de Cinvestav y del Instituto Alpes.    
Motivados por la responsabilidad social, MTA visaba incentivar la producción y consumo del amaranto para ayudar en los problemas mexicanos de desnutrición de las comunidades marginadas, así como proveer a estas personas ...view middle of the document...

2.       Productos que se pueden realizar a base de amaranto.
3.       Impacto del amaranto para la población.
4.       Cómo presentar los beneficios del amaranto para que sean atractivos para el consumidor.

RESOLUCIÓN DEL CASO APLICANDO LA METODOLOGÍA VCR

1.       VALORES Y VIRTUDES.

Los valores y virtudes con los que cuenta esta asociación es elde querer mejorar la situación tan precaria en la que vive una gran parte de la población a nivel país, y cabe mencionar que varios países han hecho estudios recientes del valor nutrimental con el que cuenta este producto. Es importante recalcar que el amaranto está considerado por la FAO como el mejor alimento de origen vegetal para el consumo humano (Rodríguez & Délano Frier, 2009)
Otro valor con el que cuenta, es que esta asociación está apoyada por gente especialista en esta área: doctores, investigadores y campesinos que cuentan con las herramientas necesarias para la investigación científica. Instituciones como el INIFAP, CINVESTAV, IPICyT, entre otros; así como universidades como IPN, UNAM, UAQ. (México tierra de amaranto AC)
2.       CONSECUENCIAS Y CONTINGENCIAS.
“Al comprobar la alta efectividad del amaranto en la disminución de la desnutrición, se sugiere la instalación de este proyecto en todas las comunidades marginadas…ya que al sembrar, producir y consumir el producto, constituye una buena alternativa de producción con la participación real de la comunidad y de los servicios de salud…ampliando el horizonte agrícola de los campesinos” (Díaz Sanguines, 1999)
La producción de amaranto va en aumento, no sólo en nuestro país, sino a nivel global, ya que sus altos índices nutrimentales y los bajos costos por la producción del mismo hace que sea una opción factible para la problemática  mundial, aspecto que MTA debe utilizar como herramienta a su favor, pues mejorando sus procesos productivos, obteniendo mayores apoyos para la investigación, así como fondos para la logística, educación, asesoría e implementación de los programas que llevan a las comunidades, pueden ser punta de lanza para esta industria. Es claro que mientras más gente esté apoyando a esta asociación mayor alcance tendrán.
