Mobile business have become very popular and span across different business sectors. Some of the more popular mobile businesses are restaurants, car detailing shops, beauty parlors, pet grooming salons, personal trainers and veterinarian clinics. In the town of Raleigh North Carolina there are approximately 15 mobile veterinarian clinics and they have formed “the North Carolina Association of Housecall Veterinarians. This group of professionals strategize about business and learn practices on providing the best care.”
Pet Palace is a mobile veterinarian business that puts the needs of devoted and loving pet owners first. Like every business there are some critical issues that having a mobile business faces. The cost of fuel is an uncontrollable cost that is a critical issue. One never knows how much the cost of gas will be and depending on the location of customers the cost of gas can vary greatly. Another critical issue is how to deal with customers who have pets that need medical procedures that cannot be performed in home or inside of the mobile vet clinic RV. Pet Palace also needs to consider macroeconomic factors such as the economy. Right now the economy is sluggish and unemployment is high. When money is scarce people will not go to seek medical attention for themselves because of the cost. This same trend occurs with pet health care. The owners’ will respond the same way when faced with health issue concerning their pet(s). They are more prone to skip routine appointments or try to administer medical treatment themselves. Although faced with these things the company has capabilities to draw the customer in which are stated below.
