Marketing Apple Essay

659 words - 3 pages

ind 1 example of a product that you identify with a need that you had.
Product (name and picture)
I choose to work on the white MacBook computer from the company Apple as it is a product that I'm using on a daily basis for school and my own sake and therefore know its weaknesses and strengths.

There has always been a war between the normal PC and Mac laptops over which one is more competent, but Mac laptops actually have many advantages/benefits such that; it is far less probable that a Mac computer can be attacked by viruses because most of the viruses are designed to attack the PC platform. Moreover, Mac laptops have a very good performance in term of rapidity such as the shutdown and program-launch timings for both the desktops and laptops. We can also say that the Macbook is very versatile as it can supports most of the famous programs that are ...view middle of the document...

You have to count approximately around 1.500,00 euros for a MacBook computer, the exact price for a 13 inches, 2,4 GHz with a 'Retina' screen is 1.499,00 euros. Obviously as the screen size and the GHz increases, the price also does until approximately 2.600,00 euros for the biggest size.
Promotion – Advertising
First of all, Apple has its own name it is a company that is known worldwide and has therefore more facility in order to advertise its products. Apple uses many ways in order to promote its product such as this white MacBook, they go through advertisement with the help of the internet, the television, the media, publicity, billboards. To promote their products such as the MacBook they use in their television advertisement a variety of songs both mainstream from famous artists. In some commercials they even go onto using famous and specific singers or artists such as Eminem, U2, Bob Dylan to make the 'buzz' and sell the product even more. They make genuis advertisement such as taking everyday life situations to make the ads even more realistic, it is also a way to promote their products. Finally, Apple creates slogan in order to imbue the mind of the consumers with their products, such as in 2006, Apple created a slogan that was « I'm a Mac, I'm a PC ».
What aspect would you improve?
First of all, the main thing I would improve for the product MacBook from Apple is the price rentability, I think we can agree on the fact that the price is way too high for the product itself but this is mainly due to the fame of the brand and we are paying mainly for the brand as we pay for the product. Another thing I would improve is the battery of the laptop because it is unloading too rapidly but this is a problem that is not touching this product only but mainly all of the products from Apple. Finally another thing that I would improve is the fact that the charger can only be used with MacBook for instance you cannot charge your MacBook with any other brand laptop charger because the plug is way too different.
