Answer: Frank has performed as spokesperson.
Spokespersons’ responsibility is transmits information to outsiders on organization’s plans, policies, actions and results. In this case, Frank explained to the public of the result of investigation. He said that the cable car system is reliable and has no safety problem.

Answer: Firstly, managers need to use specific plan to define the problem of different faults and establish procedures for different technical faults. In this case, the fault of cable car is due to 42 cm bearing on the haul rope pulley wheel. These are some technical faults in different parts of cable car. Therefore, managers need to set up a specific plan for different of the cable car faults. Specific plan can prevent these technical faults and guarantee our customers.

Secondly, managers need to set up a long term plan to keep the cable cars in operations. In fact, managers need collect different data and accumulate experience for eliminating the cable car technical fault. In this case, the fault is the slight worn out of haul rope pulley wheel. Managers can collect these data such as worn out level of the material in the period usage and try to use another new material to make parts of cable cars. Managers need found the most appropriate materials and minimize the technical faults in a period of time.

Thirdly, managers need to set up a standing plan to keep the cable cars in operation. Managers can order technicians to have appraisal test before operate the cable car.
Also technicians need to collect data for a long time to analysis the problem of cable cars. These actions need to use again and again so that manager need to set up a stand plan to let cable cars operate for a long time.

Fourthly, managers need to set up a strategic planning. Strategic Planning is the external environment and internal resources developed involving all aspects of business management (including a major program with a global production management, marketing management, financial management, human resources management). Such planning is generally set 5-10 years or more the direction of development, but is not a time after the completion of fixed; it is continually updated with internal and external changes in the environment management process. For keeping cable cars operation, we need a long term planning and need to update the planning. In this case, cable cars need some new technology to provide better services to public. This action need different department to have a good corporate organization. So managers need to set up a strategic planning for a long term operation.

3. If the top management now sets the organization goal as “Minimize service disruptions in the future”, establish the objectives in 8 key areas so as to accomplish the goal.

Answer: Firstly, Ngong Ping 360 occupies over 40% rate of market share. Minimize service disruptions in the future can increase the marketing rate of public use. For this goal, Ngong Ping 360 needs to do more customer services and provide a reliable image to the public. Also Ngong Ping 360 needs to have more change and promote of the company.
