I am a human resource manager in PANCHIO SMOOTH FOOD LTD. Panchio Food is the leading manufacturer of chocolate in Australia.
The story of Panchio chocolate began on a small town in the Western Australia, where humble shepherds perfected age-old chocolate-making techniques passed down from father to son. In Australia since 1969, Panchio has acquired an enviable reputation for traditional specialty style chocolate. Now Australia’s largest chocolate producer, Panchio still uses old family recipes to create their chocolate.

OH&S POLICY AND PROCEDURE:
The Occupational Health and Safety Policy is supported by a range of: Procedures; Guidelines; Information sheets; Hazards alerts; OHS management system documents; and other documentation |
Objective of OH&S :
Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) training is vital to ensure the safety of employees and colleagues within any business. Accidents at work can happen in any industry so we need to take every precaution to ensure we can avoid such misfortunes and maintain a safe workplace. That is why OH&S training and other self-learning courses are taught to employees in the workplace to reduce the risk of accidental injury.
If you manage a company or team within a company, understanding OHS legislation and relevant safety regulations is vital to ensure the welfare of the employees is being cared for. As an employee, it is also important to know your rights, as a work OHS system is a basic entitlement in any Australian working environment.
Other safety and health procedures that can cause a great impact are In-services training programs. These increase safety and health awareness among staff, educate them about changes in procedure and makes them confident about performing their work without occupational hazards. An annual schedule should be developed, which serves as guideposts for future committee members for developing safety procedures. An annual report developed focuses on year's accomplishments, continuing accident and incident trends, action plans to modify trends or significant safety issues and a In-service training program schedule for the next year. Workplace safety procedures should be included in the organization's safety manual which should be reviewed and updated on a regular basis. This manual should be given to all new and old employees and should be asked to abide by the rules prescribed. | |

Employers should get rid of any hazardous materials that may cause harm to the health of the staff. To transform the workplace into a hazard-free zone, you must first identify the various types of hazards in the workplace.
Biological hazards result from unhealthy exposure to viruses, bacteria, parasites or fungi. Employees who handle allergens and toxins without proper protection may also expose themselves to this hazard. Other forms of biological hazards include exposure to diseases such as hepatitis, influenza, HIV/AIDS, Lyme disease and tuberculosis. Allergies, cancer and skin irritation are some of the possible effects of biological hazards on human health. People working in medical facilities and sewage plants, for example,...
