Personal Thinking Styles:
The Life Style Inventory assignment gave me a chance to see on paper how my thinking styles influence my ability to deal with most situations. The Life Style Survey guides individuals to gain insight into their own self development and personality along with the type of behaviors we exercise to others as well. By completing the survey, I have a better understanding on how I can constructively deal with conflicts as an individual. Furthermore, the survey helps us take a look on the positive and negative qualities of our own personalities and different ways we build and improve upon them.

I taught her the basics and assist her when she needs help. I understand that some people learned at different pace so I do not pressure her in any way.
My other primary thinking style is Self-Actualizing. This style is positioned at twelve o’clock. Self-Actualizing is based on needs for personal growth, self-fulfillment and the realization of one’s potential (Our Measurement Model - The Circumplex, 2010). Self-Actualizing describes people who are creative and imaginative, and take a unique approach to life. They are also curious about other people and things which describe me perfectly. I find myself amazed at others and how they work. I have always said to others that I am as curious as a cat.
In my personal life, I am currently attending graduate school yet still plan on taking some extra classes that compliment my education. In my professional life, I find ways to efficiently complete my job duties. I feel accomplished when I have no work because that means that I’ve been productive all day. Furthermore, in both my personal and professional life, I am learning how to balance work and graduate school. I know what I can handle and I know what I cannot. The ides of going to school and working at the same time is something I’ve never experienced yet I do not commit to something I cannot do or handle.
My backup style was affiliative which is located at two o’clock. Affiliative style reveals an interest in developing and sustaining pleasant relationships (Our Measurement Model - The Circumplex, 2010). They tend to seek out, establish, and maintain close connections with others. Furthermore, they tend to be most comfortable when among those people they have established a strong emotional and social connection. This is very true in my case. I am actually surprised it is not my primary thinking style. Family and some close friends know who I truly am. Some believe I am shy and quiet when in reality I am talkative and outspoken.
In my personal life, I like to know that I have support from family and friends. Since starting school after a year off does make things a little difficult, such as getting back into the routine of having homework. Knowing that my parents, coworkers, and friends have my best intentions I know that I am capable of doing balancing work and school. My ability to create these relationships is important and I value a great deal. What I learned in an “online” classroom is not the same thing from learning outside the classroom. In my professional life, I am helpful when it comes to getting a problem solved. I always try and find the best solution or solutions possible. Furthermore, I am sincere and approachable to any of my coworkers when they need help solving a problem. For instance, one of my coworkers tends to ask me call me over and help her figure out some issue she is having.
